Mint!
The way you sit does sorta remind me of a penny farthing, which were notorious for "taking a header".
I recon I'd still give it a go though.
I like that, I'd rather it come with a hi-vis jacket though and increase the range by ditching the lights..
Theres's also room for a solar panel or two on there to help it recharge..
Bike somewhere, let it charge while you picnic, ride back..
What about LCD display showing range/charge?
Saw this on the Gadget show the other day, but it looks more like a novelty than something that will take off. The rider looks quite exposed with nothing to hold on to in front of them, and is seated similar to someone riding on the handlebars of a regular bike.
Yeah looks like it'd be dangerous for the user on roads, let alone highly crowded city roads...
The whole thing reminds me of segways lol.
Also it's regressive, the last thing people of the UK need is a bike that's as bad for you as driving everywhere...http://ic.nhs.uk/statistics-and-data...t-england-2010• A greater proportion of men than women (42% compared with 32%) in England were classified as overweight in 2008 (BMI 25 to less than 30kg/m2).
• Thirty-nine per cent of adults had a raised waist circumference in 2008 compared to 23% in 1993. Women were more likely then men (44% and 34% respectively) to have a raised waist circumference (over 88cm for women and over 102 cm for men).
• In 2008, almost a quarter of adults (24% of men and 25% of women aged 16 or over) in England were classified as obese (BMI 30kg/m2 or over).
looks good I wonder how much horse power it has and if it can cope with going uphill lol
I think its fairly reasonable priced for a carbon fiber electric bike..
Like we need another gadget to teach us how to gain weight fast and increase our obesity rates, what happened to bicycling and peddling exercises, too much to ask?. But it is good that it's over 2K which means only those who are looking for entertainment could buy it and not everyone.
For me I found a good old biking in summer morning is the best exercise to get for the whole day and I get to gain weight from muscles so I look good on the beach.
The other issue with this is that as its electric you will have cops left right and center telling you to get off it as its not "peddle assisted" as i found out with an electric scooter o.O pointless and badly designed IMO smart idea but still handlebars like that? say someone walks out in front of you? good luck controlling that smoothly!
