I thought it was 'will it play Crysis ?'

I still love the new look, much less arty-farty than the current model. Didn't Gizmodo find the Apple chip in the teardown or did they not go that far?

I'm tempted to get one of these when they come up.
Look's much better than the old ones.
More in line with the mac styling

Fed up of waiting for HTC to update my android phone.
Plus the apple app store is better for games.

That company will get shot and dumped into the sea - you can't cross Jobs - the capofamigilia.

Onto the phone, it looks pretty good but it's from Apple and so not for me.

Looking nice, smooth flat surface to rounded corners. I guess one of the Apple guys bought an HD2.

Looks good indeed, added to the developments wth OS4 (which finally give it features that should have been on from the start) this is a promising release for apple... i wont be giving up on android any time soon though.

(Comment not directed at you spoon, more @ Apple) Who cares? Videocalls have been out for many years, too expensive, poor quality & awkward, wish they'd left this out & saved on costs for the majority rather than pander to the vocal minority meaning more expense for all users

Re: News - Next-gen Apple iPhone torn open for all to see

I'm certainly getting one to replace my old trusty 3G - wont be long before 4.0 is hacked properly, and i'm just glad that apple have finally fitted a new camera with flash.

As for the iChat front facing camera, not that arsed - however I certainly am interested in what size drives are going to be in it. 16/32/64 maybe?

Overall this should be a fairly major upgrade, would like to find out if thats the same A4 chip which is in the iPad.

Re: News - Next-gen Apple iPhone torn open for all to see

when the last phone preview appeared (the phone that was left in the pub) it was mentioned that it had two spaces for memory instead of one on the current phones, and i think they mentioned that phone might have had a 64gb and a 16gb chip, thus an 80gb model, which i was hoping might be the entry level, and a 64gb + 64gb= 128gb could potentially be a premium model, certainly pushing the way towards flash based iphones and ipods matching the size of the harddisc based ipod classics, but if this is only 16gb then i presume it'll be the standard/lowest size, which is a bit dissapointing

i've been considering getting an ipod classic 160gb, but when i heard about the new iphone potentially having 80gb i thought i could upgrade my old 2g iphone and not bother with the classic

what would have been good is if it had a mini SDHC memory card so you could upgrade the storage, and even have one or two extra cards in your pocket, but that would go against anything that apple ever dreamed of, so slap me for even considering it

Not going to happen. not just because Apple don't want to give you that choice, they would actually have to do a significant re-write of the whole updating mechanism. The music library and database on the iPhone is controlled by iTunes. If you take away a chunk of music by removing the card and add another bunch by inserting another card, iTunes is going to get really confused. Then there is the problem with DRM and actually letting you access the raw files for things. They don't like you doing that either.

I did look at getting an iPod touch a few months ago, but ended up with a 160GB Classic instead. I like having my whole collection (1,600+ albums) with me when I travel. The 64GB touch was also about twice the price of a Classic. I would however consider a 128GB touch for about £200 - 250
