ROFL at those contrast ratio's! i really wish they would stop making these figures up i mean 12 million to 1 is just ludicrous.

Comparing the monitor specs there is a bizzare jump in Watts for when the device is powered on.
From size 18.5" to 20" there is an increase in less than 2 watts, from 20" to 21.5" its an increase of 7.5W, not that im complaining or am an eco warrior, I just expected it to be more like a 3W increase.

Can't say im an Acer fan so I hope this kick starts Dell into getting some LED's into their Ultrasharp range.

I agree with the silly contrast ratio value. I think as a selling point its now confusing and I dont factor in the ratio when looking at the specs as these days its unlikely to be of poor quality.
There appear to be many ways of calculating the ratio so comparing one brand with another isnt necessarily going to be a true comparrison.

I would say it's a combination of size bump and a larger resolution bump as well.

The 20" increases resolution by 234x132, where as the 21.5 increases it by 320x180. I also doubt these things are a linear progression.
