Just read else where that there are only a few games that actually output 1080p anyway, virtually all are 720p60fps anyway.
Ignoring all this, is anyone surprised? The PS3 is going to need to do more work to output a 3D image (twice as much, I don't know how this tech works) so why would you expect to get full resolution and frame rate gaming in 3D from a console that originally wasn't designed for it? The fact that 3D gaming will actually work on this in the first place, to me is testament to the power and flexibility of the system. I say well done to Sony on the PS3*

its a waste anyway, why would someone spend so much on a 3d tv to play on a cheap console, rather than a pc

And when you take off your 'SDF' tinted glasses you'll see that Crytek have been using the 360 as their demo units, not the PS3.

Theres always a fanboy war at some point. Lets stick to OP. I dont care if its 720p or 1080p. Im jsut glad that it can do it. Its good to see new features coming out a lot.

I do like the idea of 3D, but its the glasses (queue stuck record) that put me off. Does any manufacturer currently have prototypes out of lens-less 3D at the minute on a scaled larger than the 3DS ?

Im sure there are always prototypes of most things but we wont see them for a very long time i'd say.

I think its possible but currently the viewing angles would be so small it would be a commercial flop AFAIK
