Hopefully they learned from the mess they made of the last Flashpoint and won't release this one pre-Alpha quality!
I hope they take the next version of Dirt back to a more Colin McRae Rally type game, whilst certain elements of Dirt 2 were great, all that going around in circles at Battersea Power Station was tedious, along with all the American voices etc
Looking at the trailer, more of the same. Starts off with me thinking mabee they've done a bit less for the American teenager. But the trailer gets worse.

Dirt 2 was a blast but it was removed from my system after 2 weeks.....
Not to worry though, WRC out later this year.
3 games i would rather were not made into a sequel to be honest
Colin McRae Rally 1 was one of my favourites TBH, with the latest games they seem to have followed the trend of other games and concentrated only on graphics, forgetting about everything else until last minute and made it stupidly simple and arcadey. Forza is one of the only current racing games I like, it's a proper sim aimed at people who like and know something about cars; most other games you start it up, spam continue for a bit then hold down accelerate and remember to turn occasionally...

IGN have done a bit on Dirt 3 it seems like its going back to rallying a bit more - looking good so far
More rally sounds awesome. I loved GRID was an unusual type of racing game but I loved it. Flaspoint doesnt excite me tbh.
So long as OpF is being developed concomitantly on consoles and PC we will see another lacklustre product. Put simply, you do not put War Simulators on the console, it's simply too complex and in Dragon Rising we saw the compromises they made so that it attracted to the typical shooter gamer but the end result is that it didn't satisfy anyone. The very fact that after sale support was pulled so soon shows just how poorly it sold.
To be fair, it would've lasted longer had they bothered to give PC gamers the typical dedicated server capability.
So long as they keep Gate Crasher in DiRT3 I'll be happy . I loved that race mode in DiRT 2!
We need a wider range of cars and tracks and better physics too. More FWD cars specifically, like the 1.6L category.
Late September, early October. Play.com has PC version as end of September with the console version as early October. More than likely they'll all be released together.
Sounds good too.

I really miss the old Lombard RAC rally with the various car upgrades and that treacherous fog
