Oooo this is gonna be epic!

Twice as thick rad and push/pull might not fit in every case tho...

What CPU socket brackets will it have? 1366/1156/775/AM3 for sure, but s478 too maybe?

I'm semi surprised it isn't a 120.2 radiator design, but eagerly await the test results

With 120.2 the idea of mounting it using 120mm exhaust fan goes out of the window so maybe that's why?

Re: News - Corsair to launch Hydro H70 CPU liquid-cooler. Promises superlative perfor

    Hi,

How do the dimensions compare to the H50? I know that the Radiator was too big to fit in to an Antec Fusion Max remote case, but in the picture the radiator looks smaller, Do you know weather it is it likely to fit in to such a case.

    Thanks

    Shailesh

Sure, but I imagined this would be a new edition to go along with the H50, rather than a replacement (assuming it is). Given their new 600T case is designed to easily accomodate a 120.2 radiator, I thought it would be released at the same time too.

Very much looking forward to a review of this as I'm looking to take those first tentative steps into the world of watercooling. I hope that any benchmarks include the TRUE-120 as that's what I have now, and the old H50 was on a par with it. Hopefully, this H70 will be much better and will give the excuse I need to take the plunge into water...

Wow ~£80 for a CPU cooler.. Interesting to see how much it can cool if it costs that much.

Ulti, it compares very well to a watercooling loop, which is what its targetted at, tbh.

    Firstly, Welcome !

    Some basic info

The Corsair Hydro Series H70 is the best choice for high performance CPU cooling. A worthy big brother to the already excellent Hydro Series H50, the H70 improves upon the design in every way.
A low profile pump and improved cold plate allow for even easier mounting to your CPU. Compatibility with all modern AMD and Intel desktop CPU sockets is included in the box. A higher-performance radiator with nearly twice the surface provides even more room for liquid to get cool before it returns to the cold plate.
And as if that weren’t enough, the Hydro Series H70 comes with twin high-performance 120mm fans, optimized for a push-pull configuration, to allow maximum airflow through the radiator. The Corsair Hydro Series H70 is the best choice for a high performance CPU cooler on the market, bar none.

    - A new improved cold-plate design more efficiently transfers heat.
    - A thicker radiator increases the cooling surface area for even better cooling potential.
    - Dual 120mm fans with multiple speed options that let you optimize the maximum cooling and minimum noise.
    - Includes mounting hardware compatible with all modern CPU socket designs
    - Radiator Dimensions: 120mm x 50mm
    - Fan Dimensions: 120mm x 25mm
    - Fan Speed: Selectable 1600 or 2000 RPM
    - Air Flow: 50.35 – 61.2 CFM (per fan)
    - Static Pressure: 1.8 – 2.3mm H20 (per fan)
    - Noise Level: 26 – 31.5 dBA (per fan)
Got this from Corsair Forum by RAM GUY's (Corsair Product Guru)

You can stay up to date with Corsair's new product announcements by checking our Press releases and blog.

Unfortunately we would not have any information about any new products prior to an official announcement.

Looks like they are reveling nothing at the moment but stay tuned !

first what they should do is make the tubing out of a flexible material which conducts heat very well and with a high melting point and add fins to them to help with heat loss, second they should use 140 rads and include 120 adaptors and third they should put the pump on the radiator not on the block as putting it on the block means that it could heat it up more

Re: News - Corsair to launch Hydro H70 CPU liquid-cooler. Promises superlative perfor

If it delivers the performance claimed, this could be quite interesting as the problem with previous entry level water cooling was that it was never much better than high end air.

    Looking forward to reviews.
