iTV, ITV... don't forsee any copyright issues there.
Perhaps apple will be forced to think of a name that does not have an "i" before it? may be a lack of imagination but I can't think of any good alternative names they could choose with their trademark "i", iTelevision? probably does not fit apples cool hipster marketing style.

I know, how about " iPlayer " ?
Besides its not as though apple don't make a habit of stomping on other companies trademarks name before:
Apple ( beatles)
iPhone (cisco)
iPad (fujitsu)
iOS (cisco again)

How do touch screen apps work on a non-touch TV? I'm curious
iPhone apps work ok with a mouse - e.g in the iphone simulator that is provided with the SDK to run on desktops...
They'll probably do it, and then sue ITV because they've trademarked the letter i.
Just buy ITV. It's only worth a few pence now anyway.
