Iphone 3GS is same pixels at 3.5", so is technically lower quality. It's a small screen but not *that* low a resolution. Smaller screen might give better battery life too. So some people mike like this in preference to the big 4" screens on some recent Android models.

Same as my HTC Magic which is *very* usable (IMNSHO, of course). It won't be ideal for web browsing, but for most other smart phone activities it'll be ample.

The Magic is an ancient device though. This isn't out yet.

I'll believe it when I see it - battery life is already awful on the original Pre, so I doubt giving it a faster CPU and the same display will do much for battery life.

the CPU is double the frequency but aparentyl uses less power than the original. also WebOS2.0 should have improvements galore.

and 3.1" screen with 320x480 is perfect. i use one, never had a problem with webpages, games, anything i do.

and as mentioned, the 3GS screen is bigger with the same res.

Great if it works for you - from my point of view, I notice that on my iPod Touch (same res as 3gs) I can't make the text as small as I would like (to fit more on a page) without it losing readability because of low res. Less of a problem with a smaller screen, sure, but still not for me

oh yeah that is a problme, though not too bad, depends on the site for me. Though a retina display res, at 3.1 inches would be sexy!
