Good news but just a quick look at current Scan prices shows the 60GB model is still better value for money than the new 90GB model and roughly the same price per gig as the new 180GB model:
£91.18/ 60 = £1.52 per GB
£144.41/ 90 = £1.60 per GB
£273.99/ 180= £1.52 per GB
To me that's just not good enough, surely the higher capacities should be cheaper per GB.
Also that's not to mention that a Vertex 2E 60GB (very similar performance to these) can be had for a few quid cheaper than the 60GB variant Corsair.
All in all a decided "meh" from me. They should reduce the prices a further 10% or so to make me want to buy one over a Vertex 2E
Keep an eye on Today only. The 120GB drives were around £165 last time, giving £1.375/GB, which was enough to try
