Even more reason to ditch my license
iPlayer
ITV
4OD
Rumours of CH5
Lovefilm (with subscription)
Blinkbox
Vidzone for music
Coupled with Sky Player - PC or 360 only for now, assuming you can 'obtain' genuine log on details & every other streaming service for PC you'd be laughing! Well, almost, but for me it'd be a good start!
but sadly you need a TV license for iPlayer.
I used to use iPlayer on my PS3 Slim but a few months back it would lock up all the time.

Nope, only for live tv :

reading that they say legally you can do it but if you do we will simply close the loop hole.

thats great news, ps3 getting better everyday
Excellent stuff..shame the PS3 can't make ITV's programmes any better though.
ITV player doesn't work for me - says my resolution is wrong - 4OD and iPlayer are fine. Maybe it's because I have an "old skool" TV... but I can't say I'm that bothered, I don't watch anything on ITV, nor would I really want to if I could...

Any extras are good, whether you use them or not they're there if you want. For me it was a big sticking point why my wife wouldn't really consider getting rid of the TV license (Corrie & Emmerdale) so this might just save me TV+Sky fees from now on!
*ish, kinda, you know what I mean.
Does anyone know when this is actually appearing? Will it be a firmware update, or just extra 'apps' like the netflix which you download seperately?
Knowing me theyve launched already and Ive just not cottoned on!
ITV is on now under iplayer. not sure when/where 4od will turn up.

Cheers, that'll be why I missed it - I assumed theyd get their own apps on the tv bar...assuming each would want their own corporate identity seperate from the bbc!
it does have its own icon under tv
to be fair its quite poor though, very basic at the moment but its better than nothing!
You can now also download 'Mubi' from the PSN store, gives access to loads of films, lots of classics in there.
There is a subscription model but also lots of free ones
