Re: First looks - Thermaltake Level 10 GT preview

Over priced for the modern market of steel cases.

Why is there a side mesh grill for the 5 1/4 drives?

No space for top mounted radiator.

Only one top exhaust fan. Expect 2 for that price and spec.

Cool external design though, and internals look nice and modern.

    Nice looking, but over priced.

Re: First looks - Thermaltake Level 10 GT preview

nothing more than a gimmick. A concept brought to market purely to cash in on the success of the Level 10.

This shows that the downside of the technology market... The divvies that work in Marketing that have no idea what it's all about.

Re: First looks - Thermaltake Level 10 GT preview

Agreed with the others, it is just a "lets cash in again" case. If it is £190 inc Vat then it shares it's market space with the Silverstone FT02 (which doesn't have E-ATX though), the Lian Li PC-A71 and for £15 more the TJ07, all of which I would take over it.

If it is a fantastic air cooler (doesn't seem to have WC options) then for less I think I would rather deck out an Antec 1200 with non-LED fans.

Looks like they didn't hire BMW for this one and just modded a standard ATX case to look like the Lvl10.

    I wouldn't call the Level 10 a success. They didn't sell many.

Re: First looks - Thermaltake Level 10 GT preview

A poor successor to the Level 9, and obviously the designers aren't a patch on what BMW did with the 9. Very doubtful that they'll sell many at this price point.

Re: First looks - Thermaltake Level 10 GT preview

Honestly what is the difference between this and your average £50 biggish steel chassis? The original was unique, flawed and good for it. This just looks like a ford mondeo dressed up to look like a cheap plastic rolls royce.

Indeed, my first thoughts were of a mini-WOPR
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

Re: First looks - Thermaltake Level 10 GT preview

I paid 800 bucks for my Level 10 and it's amazing. Worth every penny. I don't appreciate that this joke has the same name. Call it the Level 9... Call it the Level Up/Down... Don't call this thing the Level 10! The original just dropped in all kinds of value.
