    News - Next gen Apple A4 SoC expected to have dual CPU and GPU cores

    All this extra grunt will reportedly be used to drive an iPad 2 with a much higher-resolution screen.

    I wouldn't be surprised if a lot more PowerVR GPUs pop up beside ARM CPUs in SoCs in the next 12 months.

    TI have an OMAP4 with one, for example.

    Apple don't tend to be revolutionary when it comes to the hardware inside their designs... not really. And everything I've seen in this article is what I'd expect of mobile manufacturers this year.

    Surely you're not suggesting something isn't news until the source has issued a press release, and that we should restrict ourselves to rewriting press releases.

    Details of the iPhone 4, for example, were available for months before an 'announcement' was made.
