Sale of it hell yes.
In London there are an awful lot of illegal immigrants who go round selling DVDs of films and bits of software, they from my understanding are classic gang master run, working to pay off ever increasing debts.
Ulitmately whenever anything ilegal is transacted it all too often is going towards un-pleasent people.

I was under the impression that the vast majority of software piracy was to do with people downloading torrents off the internet of their favourite bands, movies, games companies and software manufacturers such as Microsoft.....
I can't remember the last time I saw anyone hawking pirated software or anything like that.
Who buys illegal software ? lol
i bought my copy of windows 7, and i have few friends who have it pirate. And i got to admit, i feel ***** by microsoft. While all they have to do is install windows normally then run a crack to activate their copy. I have to install windows normally, and then have a 15min long phone call to microsoft to reactivate my CDKEY from the previous dead installation of it. If microsoft keeps doing things like this, i will be pirating their stuff from now on, not because i dont want to pay for it, im fully happy to, but because it just adds unnecessary hassle to using it.
sorry for the **'s but i had quite a few re installations and over time it has racked up a considerable phone bill
erm its a freephone number?

So your telling me that you don't think that the commercial piracy, people flogging DVDs in London are organised crimbos?
That is very obviously utter tosh, ask any of the charities which deal with the consicquencies of people trafficing in the UK. Now i'm not for a moment saying that if people stopped buying DVDs this horrific varient that is moden day slavery would disappear overnight. But most of those people are organised crime in every sense.

Ah fair enough, there is also a geographic number displayed, but I get your point.
My main bugbear is the fact I'm having to install software, jump through some hoops that are there just because of ilegitamate users. Now its true that a large majority of them do get 'stung' after a while by bits of their OS dropping off, but I don't like the idea of wasting resources on it.
Ultimately thou been a realist it comes down to users, if people are pirating and MS make more money by having these features on it can allow for cheaper sale price in some ways, but I don't think I see any of the money saving by MS. This is mostly due to the lack of a competetitor for windows.

I am sure there is more violent crime from users utterly hacked off with the restrictions on a legit copy than illegal copy.Proceeds from illegal sale of software said to fund violent crime.
To be honest I am more than happy with the £45 I paid for windows 7, yes I have to phone up to activate it, but I would rather that than the cat and mouse, update, hack, update, hack, update, hack I remember from windows XP.
Can you just............................?
