For this to really work we need to see more TV's and devices that connect to a TV to have online access to Facebook and this streaming service.
A movie service just aimed at people sat in front of a computer won't be successful.
Am I the only one who clicked thinking that the title was referring to this Batman joining Facebook?
Anyway, I'm not sure whether this will work when there are already the likes of Netflix, Lovefilm, Amazon etc. with streaming services. I agree with Brewster0101 that for it to have a chance with Facebook users it would probably need TV connectivity.

I think you guys are vastly underestimating the power of facebook...
Sure it might not be the best place to watch movies.... but i bet hundreds, even thousands of people will sit infront of facebook commenting and chating away whilst watching films they just rented from the comfort of facebook... such a wide and captive audience...
what better place to stage the beginning of a new pay to watch movie service?

According to TechCrunch, it appears that it's not a new service or anything after all, just that Warner Bros. did a Facebook app for people to watch The Dark Knight.
Apparently Hulu and Netflix are already connected to Facebook via Facebook Connect anyway.
