I think Lark's got a point, actually - iPad is a slick device, and I can understand why people like them, but some of the restrictions on them are just bizarre, and purely attributable to control-freakery. Good example; third party applications, even if approved and sold on the App Store, are not allowed to synch with desktop companion apps over USB. You either go through iTunes in which case you're gimped or you have to use WiFi, which presumes that's an option. Frankly, I'd far rather use an Android device, and that's before you get on to the other limitations (no USB ports, card slots, HDMI's a chargeable extra and so forth).
