Been a very disappointing year for SSDs all round really.
Intel and Crucial both releasing drives no better than last year, prices haven't dropped particularly, and the process shrink seems to be negatively affecting quality more than anything else.
i was hoping id get a new ssd when the next gen release but it appears ill be waiting some time .
Vertex 3 is good but its still expensive, and the corsair f60 is cheaper than the 25nm variant so it seems VERY stupid to have 25nm if you lose some performance and it costs an extra £5 for the consumer..... im still waiting for the £1/gb or close to it

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
120Gb OCZ Agility is now £119.99 at OverclockersUK.

I don't know much about either drive. The review I found for the 120Gb version seems quite promising:

Anyone got any experience with either of these drives?
wouldnt take the agility, cant remember what controller is used and iirc they are fairly old. Should have specified, ill be waiting till the 64gb ssd's hit near the £1/gb mark... dont see the point in anymore/less as its to expensive and its only useful for OS at this point (or servers and a hand ful of operations)
Having had a 64gb SSD and now a 128gb one my advice is definitely get at least 120gb size. What you gain in performance is negated by the inconvenience and time wasted in having to shuffle data between drives all the time. Plus what's the point in booting faster if your apps and games are still slow to start?
I'm quite relieved that the replacement for the C300 is not much better. I hate it when you buy something and it gets peed all over by new stuff straight away!
Not much difference compared to the older c300 - I'll be keeping mine for a while now - unless of course benchies is all that matters to ya, you won't notice any difference.
Sure I read somewhere that using the newer 25nm chips also reduces overall life so it might still be best to stick with the current 2nd gen drives.......
Does anyone know of a SATA6 plug-in card that will definitely work with my P55 GD-65?

IIRC it's an Indilinx controller and the drive is pretty decent - around the performance of the original Vertex. It's a good price for a fast drive - the (significant) difference between it and the newest drives is sequential transfer and e-peen, neither of which is likely to have much effect on a boot drive.
