Smartphones definitely make shopping easier for the end user - particularly with regards to price.
Case in point, last year I needed a new keyboard fairly urgently, so I popped down to my local PC World to pick one up..they are getting more competetive
Spotted they had a Microsoft Sidewinder keyboard and mouse on special offer - still £60 for the KB and £35 for the mouse, but it's worth the money for a quality Microsoft Mouse/KB since none of the competition comes close. Anyway, I decided to do a quick price check first to see if the offer was really a bargain..a quick google later and I found that it was a decent deal, with most places charging £90/£50 respectively.
Top price however was actually PC World themselves - a website offer at £40 and £20 each! I showed this to the guys in store who were having none of it, so, right there in front of them I proceeded to place my order on the website as a reserve and collect, read out the collection code to them and paid my £60
That really upset the store manager but what could he do =)
So yes, smartphones are invaluable when shopping these days, especially for any high value items.
There must be words missing from this statement. It is quite unbelievable.about nine out of ten smartphone searches results in a purchase
I have reserve and collect with Jessops on several occaasions while standing in the store. Recently when after a tripod the woman in the store told me there was an offer on and recomended ordering online. Couple of minutes later and I walked out the shop with a new toy.
