I actually don't care all that much about the ARES cards.
The first time round, it was quite a spectacular feat, to cram two full-on cards into one.
Now though, it's just the same thing every year. And when we've got a GTX 590, a GTX 580 X2 isn't going to be a whole lot faster. Whilst it's an admirable technical achievement, it's not something that's going to make us all turn round and gawp, because it just isn't a huge jump from what we already have.
Not to mention that nobody is ever actually going to own one, because blowing £1k is utterly pointless when you'll probably have mere minutes before the next gen is out and your money was completely wasted.
Total over kill and pointless... Nothing more than really a show off product....
Considering the prices of these ARES cards, they should stop messing about and cram 3 GPUs on them!
