It looks cheap and tacky though... I've seen better styled netbooks! Hell even Alienware look better.

we were able to play new-ish games such as Crysis 2 with image-quality settings turned up to decent levels.

Anything less than 'Max' quality levels doesn't quite cut it for me... Especially for a so called 'gaming laptop' with a starting price of £999 for the basic model. My budget (el cheapo) AMD PC can run Crysis 2 perfectly with all details cranked up to 'extreme' and at a resolution of 1920x1080.

Never have liked the look of the MSI laptops. And this one is particularly bad in my opinion. It's just way to exaggerated, from the horrible 'media bar' to the speakers to the palm rest. Comeon MSI, you make a powerful laptop, just need to back it up with a little thought put into the design!
