*runs off to the 3dmark11 bench thread to compare*
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
My only comment: 1.5v?!? That's a lot of vcore: hope it's not indicative of a high stock vcore, or these are *not* going to be power sipping, cool-running processors...
That said, I suppose that voltage is pushing not just 4 cores @ 3.7GHz, but also a GPU @ 800+ MHz, isn't it... maybe it's not so bad after all.
It's impossible to tell because of the gpu. Somebody needs to plug in a discrete card and see how high the cpu cores overclock.

Good thing I added some scores for an HD5670.
Edit!!
Here is the score for a Core i3 2100 and an HD5670 GDDR5:

It looks like that with a 100MHZ overclock the HD6550D will match an HD5670 GDDR5 in 3DMark11. Considering the HD6550D does not have dedicated RAM it actually seems to perform reasonably well.

I haven't use a Gigabyte board before, but why is the HT link only 145MHz?
Llano APUs don't have a northbridge so they don't need a HT link: it looks like that's a legacy hanging over from Athlon / Phenom - although it may also be relevant to Bulldozer, of course. As LLano doesn't have an HT Link it presumably doesn't have an HT link multiplier so the software is reporting the base clock. Which, incidentally, looks like the base clock for Llano is going to be 100MHz with high multipliers. It'll be interesting to see what the clock domains available in the BIOS will be for the separate parts of a desktop Llano - wether you can slow / disable the fGPU to allo wmore CPU overclocking etc.
it's almost more frsutrating to have the first official reviews of the mobile Llano and now have to wonder how it will impact the desktop parts!
Msi FM1 socket motherboard just broke. Problems rebooting now won't even turn on. Cost of it counteracts the price/performance of A8-3850.
