    errmmmm, someone needs to check their facts.

    The K computer is a SPARC system, using Fujitsu VIIIfx chips not Intel Xeons.

    Costs $6.2m/yr to run. So, add 20% for hiring to public...

    (6 200 000 / 365) * 1.2 = $20,383.56 a day.

    Not much - it's all CPUs, so probably couldn't break even. The Tianhe-1A chinese supercomputer at no.2 has NVIDIA GPUs, no real AMD GPU supercomputers though.
