+1 on that - I strongly suspect that there'll be an "extensive" survey and then we'll end up with something akin to the US system - and wouldn't that be an "improvement"?It seems inevitable therefore, that reform will come - it's just a question of when, and to who's advantage the changes will prove.

I only recognised one of the groups (BCS) named. Oh, and while we're on it - didn't the govt have an opportunity to "support" the digital economy with the tax breaks being asked for by the games industry? You know, the one's they turned down as too expensive. (Not that I've got a particular axe to grind there - I'm only a consumer).The group, comprising BCS, Coadec, TechHub, Bootlaw and the BIMA , says that although it is pleased with the Government's voicing of support for the 'digital economy,' but is concerned that for all its talk, the Government isn't acting enough on behalf of the technology companies resident on its shores.
