WiFi only, seems good, no messing round with additional costs. Can't see 3G on a tablet being very useful anyway, maybe just me.
Bespoke version of android, could be good or bad, I'll hold judgement. Amazon seem to know what they're doing though.
Can't imagine this will be an iPad killer, no matter how good it is, it'll never be an Apple.

The 7" Amazon tablet is being priced to compete against the Color Nook as I had predicted. The 7" IPS panel in the Color Nook is considered by Anandtech to be as good as the one in the iPad2:

Why would I replace my existing android tablet for this?
The attractive points of the kindle are its weight, battery and e-ink screen, if it doesn't have all three it's not worth placing on my shopping list the xmas.
Disappointing. I want a colour e-reader. Not a tablet.
