You can get your hands on the latest beta version, here.
Or, like happened to me, you can wait for Chrome to self-update. Didn't half give me a shock when I brought up a new tab to get to Hexus, only to be greeted with the new UI. It's now telling me that I've got "15.0.874.21 beta", which I assume is the latest version.

It's times like this - imho - that the silent-self-update feature of Chrome is a bit of a mixed blessing. Like the new UI though.

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

Argh, too many versions already. It's only been around for three years. IE's been around for 16 years and that's only on v10. And Windows has been around for 26 years and is also only on v10 (excluding server/CE version).

Technically you could argue Windows is only on version 6

    Windows 9x were all 4.x
    2k/XP were NT 5.0 and 5.1 repsectively
and Vista, 7 and 8 are 6, 6.1 and [based on the dev preview] 6.2

by that logic Linux has only just hit version 3

Re: News - Google sends Chrome 15 to beta

I'd like to know how to turn the new tab page off. I don't want to run apps in my browser. I want to browse and usually when I need a new tab I want my home page (Google) to load
