Have been following it closely. The two products are similar but in many ways quite different in others. The Pi will be sold by a charity organisation and is designed to introduce users to Linux programming. The BeagleBone is designed for embedded systems builders.
There are some significant differences in capabilities and potential applications that a potential buyer will want to weigh up between the two.
