Gutted. Wish I had more cash to spend in our local (Aintree) Bestbuy. Sorry to hear about the job losses too. Great Xmas present BestBuy - nice!
Seems like a strange decision to me. I like the way they do things though so I'll probably be buying from their website still, as long as it still supports Europe and doesn't offload everything onto Carphone Warehouse.
There's not one near me, and only been in a US Best Buy, but that's a real shame.
Also, didn't they only open them what seems like yesterday?

Interesting announcement to make just before the busiest retail period of the year. Wonder what time scale these are to be shut, also wonder if there will be any closing down bargains.

Working 2 minutes from the second store to open - hedge end in southampton I'm not surprised. Always poor choice of products and usual more expensive than the PCWorld/Currys store down the road (Never same products so couldn't price match - for example dishwashers - Started at £200 in Currys - £230 in best buy - similar beko models). Won't be missed but worried its loss will allow DSG group to go back to lazy practices again.

even online prices don't seem that competitive, I keep checking as a few deals posted up via voucher sites but so far nothing that would interest me price-wise anyway.

They did have one or two deals which were stella, the rest of the time been slightly cheaper than PCWorld / Curries just isn't enough.
Odd that they are closing so soon before the Christmas rush sales, I mean you'd have thought it would have been worth sticking around for that!
