Just created one for my research group. Could be good if it's used in the right way.
I was wondering what they were going to do for businesses, they couldn't ignore them for much longer.
I like how, because of the design of G+, I don't have to bother with businesses and can continue my use of G+ without ever noticing the presence of businesses. It's a pity my family don't bother with it though, they still complain that I don't use Facebook
I'm not so sure.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to concentrate on getting *people* using G+ before flooding it with businesses? Seems a strange (and potentially dangerous) idea, to me.
Apparently they did have plenty of people signing up to Google+ from the beginning, but that lately its popularity has been declining again. I would assume that they hope that the addition of brands will tempt people back, but whether it will remains to be seen.
Using Facebook and Twitter seems to work for plenty of brands, so I wouldn't be surprised to see this become a successful promotional tool too, but some may argue that it should have been done from the beginning and that it could be too late.
