The only problem with the MP, IMO, is the inclusion of RPGs on maps with no vehicles.

GET RID WHEN THEY AREN'T NEEDED!

Re: News - Battlefield 3 major patch incoming, PC first

I disagree with Hoonigan - RPG's have thier place in all maps... taking down the side of a building even where there are no vehicles has its place, as does shooting fish in a barrel when you have everyone attacking from one choke point - even though I dont use them and get annoyed when I get RPG'd or SMAW'd instead of shot, its an option and they take it... fair enough.

What bugs me is the guys that lose you the game in the team ones because they sit at the spawn point and boost the entire match and still get less points than me and my squad that are capturing objectives and getting kills...

I'm pretty good at the game, but I can't win with only half a team :-(

Sir, what is your game name? I would like to write your name on some of my Rockets.

I hope they fix it so you can join empty servers and play. I want to practice flying and explore the maps without being killed.

This patch can't come soon enough, the amount of problems this game has is shocking.

I think it's more shocking that it's taking so long for them to release a update for the PC game.

Only problem I have on the PC is the browser not displaying server ping, everything else is silky smooth.

I only got it installed last night and already had a 500 meg patch to download. Hope I can get at least one game in before there`s another mammoth patch heh

PC patch coming first, meaning least amount of QA done.

There's a few servers you can go in that'll let you learn how to fly.. Do you have an Xbox360 pad that you can plug into your PC? It definitely makes flying MUCH easier

Has there even been an update yet? I don't think I've seen a single one tbh.

THIS. Oh God this. I suck at the flying at the moment. Back when I used to play BF2 I loaded up a local only server and played around with the vehicles for a good few evenings until i'd got the hang of how to fly them. Now there's no local server option, so I tried to join my favourite server when no-one was online. Nope, can't even move until at least 3 more people join the game... So my only option to try and learn the vehicles is to jump into one on a populated server, at which point I get shot out the sky while i'm still trying to work out how to keep the thing going in a straight line instead of banking and ploughing into the ground.

Yeah, i've gone with the 360 pad option and found it much better than using a joystick But i'm still rubbish.

How will updates be applied? I got told a week or so ago that I needed to update my browser plugin to be able to join multiplayer games or even the single player campaign, but i'm not sure if that was literally just a browser plugin update or if the file I downloaded also contained game patch data.

I got a Joystick now, am looking for a game pad but haven't seen the one I want on eBay.

No updates for the PC other then server stuff.

Don't think I would like to try a server that doesn't have the 2 player requirements, I hear they are modded servers, don't want to risk my account.

Or just the reality that it's easier and faster to package up a release for the PC rather than jumping through the hundreds of hoops that you need to for Consoles (and also for steam if you release through that).

Personally all I am hoping for on this release is the promised Nvidia 3D Vision support - should have been in release build and it's a joke that yet another game promises this and then conveniently "forgets" to put it in.

Of course it would also be nice if they release B2K alongside this..suspect that I will be disappointed on both fronts though
