Or just build yourself a RepRap, then recoup your costs by selling RepRap parts as permitted by its Open Source Hardware licensing.
Still waiting for a low cost 3D priner, doesn't have to be big or fast or accurate. But it'd make a fun toy.
Just make sure it has a heated bed, the print quality is terrible if it doesn't, and don't place it in a drafty or cold room!
Some of the printers at the show are bit tricky too as they don't print a support material, they look easy and simple but not the case!
