Totally agree with you - however, if I was in charge at Apple, I'd look to drop the '3 in as a replacement for the '2, and drop the price of the '2 by £100 or so to compete with folks like Asus.

Probably be a darned good product, but no doubt the hypegasm surrounding it will be quite distasteful - e.g. "o .. m .. g, isn't this like ... the best thing evar. Apple totally redefines the tablet genre. Game changer. etc, etc"

Apple don't need to drop prices though do they? I haven't got an ipad but we have a dell streak 7 and a galaxy tab, both of which are perfectly adequate and were much cheaper (both were £150 new). The only area an ipad appeals to me is music apps, and then it would be a luxury

You managed to get a 'Tab for £150 - unless that was some kind of shop clearance or trade-in deal then you did VERY well. I'm jealous.
