Both Intel and AMD are supposed to be releasing chips with improved graphics this year... Intel will always be at least two steps behind AMD on integrated graphics
Indded, its a real shame as it could have been the important factor that brought AMD back to its full greatness.
They shouldnt have let it go, its costing them crap loads . Am I right in thinking that GF still get funding from AMD or was it simply AMD let it go and gave it a cash injection (of alot of cash...) to get it going and then work independently?.
Its been a silly thing regardless as they arent in a better position, it was meant to save money but all its done is cost a bit and then they had to go with TSMC in the end! There is hope for AMD but it just requires the stupid mistakes over the years to STOP .
Or for GF to whip out some OMFGZ style yields and then we will see an AMD that rapes the whole year... please GF get to work .
Good news for Hackintosh users though......about time Apple released some with AMD processors in.
Still, a shame that yields were not enough

It wasn't to save money it was because they could no longer afford to keep building new fabs. If they hadn't sold to GF there wouldn't be any Llano or Trinity to talk about.
