Those are actually pretty nice core overclocks for retail cards. I never really saw the point in buying an 'OC' version when they only increased the core by 15MHz or so, like in the case of Gigabyte's HD 6870 OC.
Why no memory overclocks, though? Are they cautious of stepping on the toes of other cards in the series? The Hexus review of the HD 78xx cards shows they'll both run a 1GHz overclock on memory at stock voltages, so I guess it just comes down to marketing.
They might not have found memory clock increase to be particularly useful. Review sites always ramp up the memory speed but in my own experience it doesn't help too much.
