No windows phone 7 is rather telling. Not looking good for Windows Phone 7 is it...
I have always maintained that Windows Phone 7 is too little and too late. Nokia with all it's fanfare is struggling to sell many Win 7 phones and I can't see it improving much.

shame because I like the Nokia 800 and windows on it. I think Android has become a complete mess and Apple - well its Apple. If the Nokia 900 was available in the UK, I'd probably jump on the windows mobile wagon.
But, with news that the most popular mobile game is not being made for the format does signal a nail in the coffin.
There is nothing wrong with the phone...it's just not outstanding....
Problem is with mobiles that as your mates/work colleagues etc. get a new one, you want something similiar (ie. Android, iOS or whatever). Win 7 Mobile has so little traction to the majority they just don't get to see it and it's lost in a sea of other mobiles. Android can be a mess, but it works, has apps a plenty and seems to still be on the up!

I got bored of Angry Birds after it got to the point where I knew exactly what I had to do, but couldn't quite move the slingshot to the right pixel to do it. It stopped being fun. I much prefer games like the laser+mirrors stuff where you really have to think to solve the puzzles. The top games at the moment seem to be AB, the daft slicey games, the daft bounce-on-ledge games and some reasonable tower defense offerings. Oh, and Peggle. Peggle is immensely good. But then PopCap tend to be diamonds in the rough of casual gaming.
It says a lot that the best experience in gaming I've had on an Android phone was via an emulator (no further comment). There are lots of developers that are trying to make games and most aren't doing a good job. They've nailed games that work for toilet-time, but I've yet to play a game that really has me hooked.
The best compromise is probably the Xperia Play, some of the titles they've released for it are stellar. GTA III springs to mind, Another World, etc. What's changed? They're games actually made by proper game developers with lots of experience in game design. And of course the fact that the Play actually has a half decent control system.
Not to say that Angry Birds isn't one of the better casual games out there, I just have a big problem with the sensitive input mechanism which makes 3-starring a lot of levels impossible without simply being lucky.
and the xperia play has been canned already...lol

I see what you did with the thread title, very clever

Of course if the Angry Bird franchise is around in October then no doubt they will work with Windows 8 which should therefore work on a Windows 8 phone/tablet!
Tried this on PC, great fun. The gravity effect makes feel new.
Not surprised really, the 1st one was great and somehow they actully managed to make it better.
