Just had a bit of a read through their legal section. Gave me a bit of a lunchtime chuckle at least.
I've noticed quite a lot of links (all innocent) being blocked between me and friends, but I'm using Pidgin. Maybe this has something to do with it? Last one I remember is BF battlelog, I had to replace a dot with a space so it wasn't auto-linked but that also goes to show how stupid this is; it just causes problems (bad heuristics?) and is laughably easy to circumvent.
MSN messenger is already dead. Just one more nail to the coffin
I still prefer plain+simple IM over 'social networking' stuff. Not necessarily MSNM, but it is what most people I know use.
IM makes for a nice alternative to having to pay for, or having a limited amount of messages (SMS) or having your private message history stored and potentially released for the world to see (Failbook). Outside of game chat it's the form of messaging I use most often.
Agreed, but not as many people use it ATM.
I still use the 2009 version of WLM. The latest version had Facebook chat built-in and you couldn't do simple things like Set your Nick / MSN status.
True, no one uses it. I get automatically signed in and it stays at the corner of my screen. A friend or two come online once a year.
The things I like about WLM is Group chat , Handwriting > why type when you can draw what you mean, group games like UNO. Good times, good times....
I'm sure TPB are quaking in their boots over this news....
