Looks nice, there are cards on air being touted at 1.2Ghz though so maybe 1.15Ghz on water is a little disappointing, I'm sure they could push that more. Warranty is amazing on EVGAs though

It's actually pretty reasonable, only about £10 more than the cheapest 680 and full water block.

That's an estimated price. Probably be nearer £599 when it hits retail

Whether it is £530 or £600 makes no difference it is still way too expensive.

The 680 is too expensive, but NVidia can get away with it because AMD is no better at price, but yes the uplift was the waterblock version is not unreasonable

For the cowards amongst us (yes, that does mean me!) I wonder if there will be a solution based on an AIO water cooling set up. I don't really have the time or patience to set up a real water cooling solution, nor the budget to get all of the additional kit required to implement one.

Then buy an air cooled one!

Half-baked water cooling is no better then decent air cooling most of the time.....in some cases it's actually worse.

Would love a watercooled system, those clocks are amazing! 1215MHz at full whack!

Looks ace with that cooler and backplate too.

Re: News - EVGA launches GeForce GTX 680 Hydro Copper

Definitely shaithis hit the nail there , pointless going with water cooling if you arent going to invest in it, a cheap ass attempt will only meet the high end air coolers(talking the older high end of £30 - £40), most wont do better either... then you have the added risk of leaks and maintenance all for the sake of saying "i have liquid cooling", it wont be quieter it wont be cheaper (it will be much more expensive still!).

If you want WC you best look for secondhand gear (very good bargains if you look ) or save for the full whack, unfortunately that still means you have to take the risk with setup . Seriously KD just go for heatsink fan for the gpu, its cheap reliable and easy todo!.

The problem EVGA have is that they cant determine what water system you will have setup, for some a 1150mhz overclock will be pushing the limits and for others they could do 1400mhz without sweating... they have to set the clocks far back enough to support any generic wc system, as its EVGA though i recall they support overclocking so its brilliant! I wish EVGA would do AMD cards , my next chip would love to be underwater... all 600Watts worth of cooling!

I'm using an AIO HSF on my CPU at the moment, I had the Corsair A50 before and this was priced at a very similar level and the results are also very similar, so I'm not entirely unhappy with the results, however had I picked an H60 or H80 the temps would be better still. The key reason I picked this was because I have a good looking mobo and I have a case with a window where my old hsf spoilt the look of the inside of my case, which I can now enjoy more as a result of a far more discrete solution.
