I'd just like to point out:-It was yesterday revealed, in the second phase of the three phase trial, that the Jury had reached the conclusion that Google did not violate any of Oracle's eight patent claims, which will see the firm receive a maximum fine of £200,000 in the third phase of the trial, for minor copyright infringements determined in stage one.

That's what I read elsewhere too - that the final round will be for the judge to decide how much Google have to fork out, whether it be the full whack of $200k or $0 (if he subsequently decides that the API's aren't actually subject to copyright).
I've got my fingers crossed for a "API's aren't subject to copyright" decision - mainly because that's what I think (I'm failing to see the creative input on API's) and also because I'd like a failure of this IP trolling to perhaps give pause to other trolls.
