Shouldn't the US have import duty as well? I mean, it's either made in China or Taiwan so they need have to it shipped as well. Ah well, I fully expect it to be at least 200 quid...
Beautiful. Good 'ole 4.1 android.
Does look good, and I'm not upset about the lack of a back camera, but will there be one for video talking on the screen side?
it depends on how its shipped as to whether or not they pay import taxes.
Just popped over to http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-im...x-calculation/ and it reckons (and feel free to criticise the figures I put in - especially the zero ship costs, since I've no idea how much it'd cost to ship a single device)
So even allowing for a decent markup, that's £180-£200, which - to me at least - sounds like a pretty damn reasonable price for that device.1

Notes on import taxes due
Please note, to ensure accurate duty and VAT results, you must declare all shipping charges that are not already included in the value of your goods.
Please note, if your goods have been insured for international transport, and the cost of the premium is not already included in the value, you must declare it separately to ensure accurate duty and VAT results.
Please note that your shipping provider may add an additional handling fee
Can't help thinking that if it does ship for that price then that's going to seriously annoy Amazon, since it'll make a £200 Kindle Fire look very overpriced.
Certainly looks promising.
Also: Nexus 7 - Even more human than human!
I hope that you can expand the storage beyond 8/16GB and that expandable isn't sacrificed in favour of making the tablet thinner or in expense of a "bigger" battery. As much as Apple/Google/Microsoft would have you believe, cloud storage isn't as integrated or as reliable as they want you to think.
unfortunately there is no micro sd card slot:
