I got the 120gb one from scan for £65 recently and I'm really happy with it. 3k writes is more then enough for home users. I guess this one needs to be £130-£140 though - maybe some day.

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)
Too much choice ... head explodes! At the time of writing, SanDisk's 240GB Extreme SSD offers similar-if-not-better performance but costs roughly £50 less.
Joking aside, I'm actually quite impressed with the performance of the Sandisk - any idea if that has components akin to the original HyperX or is it closer to this new budget version? Obviously if it's got the longevity of the old HyperX but less than the cost of the new one, then that's got to be worth a go. Especially since Amazon are now selling it for less than I just paid for two 128MB Samsung 830's.
240GB (less TRIM space etc) is going to be more than good enough to migrate my current "apps" partition to. Very tempting...
Which "120GB one" was £65? Very good price. You mean the Sandisk Ultra? For me this HyperX is way, way overpriced in today's market. Why bring out a new 'budget' model that is way more expensive than similar performing competition. Expect the prices of these to plummet because at this price point I can't see who would buy one.
Actually the 120gb HyperX 3k was £65 for at least half a day

Great SSD but the price tag is still quite high even on scan who usually sell thing fairly cheap. I got one off Ebay brand new for just over £120. Someone was selling a bunch of them so I just managed to snap one up and I'm very happy with it. Certainly makes a huge difference going from a hard drive to an ssd.
