    Youtube being a download not a default is a non-story but Apple changing away from using Google as default search would be seen as a bad thing by many iUsers, there is a good reason Google is the dominant search engine - result quality. Bing/Yahoo just doesn't produce the same results.

    ^^ this is so true, espeically for discussions pc componenets, google jsut seems to bring up the better search results.

    ^^^ I agree!! I rarely use the YouTube app, so not having as default and having to download it first if I did want it doesn't strike me as a very big problem though changing the default search provider does!

    As "kingpotnoodle" says, there is a reason why the majority of users use Google for searches and that is the quality of it's results!!

    ofc they will get rid of google - the top results for best smartphone isnt an iphone....

    I don't think that's google's doing, let's face it the iPhone has been well behind the development curve of competing companies - that's not a dig at iOS as the other major mobile OS are on the latest phones which means that when you search "best smartphone" ofc the iPhone isn't going to top the list!
