Well pleased since it's the tablet I chose to go with and now own...
First off, I thought Microsoft weren't pushing stylus driven tablets these days - too "old school"?All we can say is, keep up the good work Samsung, though, we do wonder how this product will fare in the market once Windows 8 tablets with styluses become common place
Secondly, there's a difference between a stylus driven tablet and one with a "proper" (pressure sensitive) digitizer like the Note's have. The latter being more capable, and more expensive.
Anyone got an ETA for the JB update, since it sounds like it could be a nice Christmas present! ;-D
Ditto, although I can't help thinking that if Samsung did a "proper" keyboard dock a la Asus Transformer (my other Android tablet) then it'd be a much more capable device. Yes, I know Samsung do a keyboard dock, but it's a dumb one that doesn't have the extra battery and ports that Asus were smart enough to spec up for their tablet. :-(
about time they released it to the wifi version!

Oh, and while I'm slagging off Samsung ... guys how about some accessories for the S3 that are actually BETTER than those that 3rd parties come up with? The charging/audio dock is a particular "favourite" of mine - the guy who designed that should be pushing a broom instead of a pencil. Check out the reviews on Amazon UK if you don't believe me - there's an awful lot of negative ones.
Hopefully (and I realise this is a little OT) the new lower price on the Note 10.1 at the moment will persuade a lot of folks to try it, in which case we can look forward perhaps to seeing a good selection of 3rd party add-ons.
I came to the conclusion the Samsung accessories specifically the docks for the s3 are considered complete rubbish, that's why I did not get them for mine, for example the dock that charges the spare battery is just a stand for the phone, no actual connection for the phone, I bought a cheap 3rd party one to do me in the meantime but to be honest not one to brag about. Though on the 10.1 Samsung branded aluminum dock is freaking awesome, totally love it, it's the folded aluminum one granted it is black and my note is white but hey what can you do lol, I remember play.com had a listing for the wireless charging dock for the s3 but had no details on it and is no longer showing but I would definitely love to get my hands on it. Back to the s3 I've been using a one of the belt clip slip in pouches for it since I got the phone but it's now knackered, I've been searching relentlessly for a replacement but what I'm looking for is one of the ones that acts as a wallet but none of them have belt clips, it's a choice of one or the other, like seriously it's not rocket science to produce one that can do both. Regardless I am and will always be happy with my choices in products, Samsung rules!!!
I have a just got a Note 10.1 and I prefer it ten fold over the iPad 2 i have got, that has been palmed off to the wife. Cant find much info on when this update is going to arrive in the UK tho. It seems to add more features to the things that already impress me on this device.
Fingers crossed they do it soon.
It's usually a few weeks after the first European updates, lol doesn't stop me checking multiple times a day though...
UK update for N8000 (3G model) released yesterday. Still no sign of the N8010 (Wifi only) model update though
Come on samsung, pull your finger out!
you would have thought the 8010 update would be ready 1st as they have no modems to worry about...

not yet, it seems the priority is the higher prices 3G/LTE versions rolled out then the WiFi to follow.
