Partly because its so cheap I have 4:
Wifi Cam
File/print server
XBMC
and one for mucking about with servos
and uses < 2W
I want one of these to have a play about with, and they really are cheap! Wouldn't be surprised if more manufacturers start making these kind of 'PC's'.
I've just ordered one to have a play. I'm thinking of making it fit into a lego car
Imagine how long it would have took them to reach 1 million at the original production rate of 10,000 per batch!
100 batches...
Depends how long a batch takes, it's been supposedly available for just under year (since Feb 2012), so a batch every 3 days? Not unreasonable, roughly 3300 Pi's per day - or just very approximately 140 RasPi-Per-Hour since launch, that's not that many even for a small semi-automatic factory.
I'm glad it's selling well, just still appears a tad underpowered for me
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
