Totally not interested. Im staying with the idea of waiting till current iphone contract ends and getting what ever samsung phablet is available. Note 3 hopefully.
Its the stylus that adds extra value for me. Note taking for assignments or even doing art would be so much better. And easier.

With a 5.5" screen this device will be quite large for trouser pockets!

And I agree with the author about styluses for devices like this. I think the Samsung Note concept is solid if you want to make a tablet more productive and controllable.

Note 2 owner here. Love it, love the stylus, brilliant for writing, paint apps and actually very good for games.

LG clearly trying to copy Samsung - bet their support is not as good. I get regular updates for my Note 2 from Samsung.... Really really impressed with Samsung's support for the Note 2.

Stylus - genius huh! What I don't get is why it ever got uninvented. That wasn't very smart imo but for some reason everyone seemed to be loving their touch screens. Heck we could even reinvent hand writing recognition and a mono screen for those that like a couple of weeks use between charging.

Same for PC. Uninvent the keyboard and mouse for a while then bring it back. Train wreck the UI for touch and then undo it. Avoids boredom I suppose which might explain the popularity of tech fashion.

Re: News - LG reveals curved glass fronted Optimus G Pro

Love the screen size. It won't be too big for pockets (unless you're wearing hotpants).
I have the Note 1 and everyone who rants saying it's too big to fit in their pockets, I hand the phone over, they fit it comfortably in their pockets and go all embarrassed because of how wrong they were.

And ed^, what's wrong with a stylus? I personally don't use mine all the time, but what's wrong with choice? You have a goodly number of complaints without any solutions.

Re: News - LG reveals curved glass fronted Optimus G Pro

I dont think its a "me to" kinda play by LG I genuinly think they have changed their ball game since the Optimus 2x, they have decent high end phones now and all that is lacking is the update side of their software, personally I love the Optimus theme and I am hoping I can port it to the Nexus 4 but it seems unlikely atm . I wouldnt call Samsung the best in support really they are losing their touch and getting fairly slow with updates, not in the same league as LG though! If LG can sort out their dev team they would be laughing as I feel their phone designs are one of the best in the market, dont like samsung Touchwiz or physical designs.

Loving the N4 and it takes the best of both hardware and software, already enjoying the new updates . I do wonder how this 2.5D idea works curved glass seems a bit odd so its interesting to see how this plays out . Finally LG's time to shine if they are able to step up with the software .

Re: News - LG reveals curved glass fronted Optimus G Pro

Since they're bringing back something like the stylus, could they do the same thing for hardware buttons/keyboards please?

I'm slightly annoyed that theres next to no choice in current handsets: you can have touchscreen and touch controls and like it or go without...
