Maybe re-jigged hardware with a new set of TDP and clock speeds but the software improvements might not be back compatible to the last gen, even if that is artificially so it still warrants a different model number.

I don't think the target market for discrete NVidia GPUs is AMD based latops though...

Yes, they are the competition which is what they should be comparing themselves to. Especially as they say 'integrated graphics processors' which as a term includes amd's apus, though they are comparing to Intel integrated graphics only. Unless the quotes are aimed at flogging nvidia chips to laptop manufacturers dead set on only using intel.
