And here come the usual comments about how its too big and silly - blah blah blah.
Being an owner of a Note 2, I would not miss not having the stylus, but I do find it useful sometimes when cutting images and pasting to emails/messages etc.
So I see why Samsung are making bigger phones with out the stylus, I bet there is a good market/demand for them. Wonder if Apple will move into the 4" + screens?
Actually that's what I was going to say - 5" is doable, 5.5" is probably too, but when you're talking about something that's bigger than 6" then that's dangerously close to (a) looking ridiculous to hold to your ear, and (b) being mistaken for a small tablet.
Does seem a little silly though, to drop the key difference that the Note has to other "lesser" devices, namely the stylus and all that can offer.
Might as well buy an iPad Mini... LOL
Joking aside I've got to wonder if Samsung have kind of lost the plot - since they seem to be just content to generate similar looking models in a variety of sizes rather than innovating. I'd love a Note 10.1 Mark 2 that "borrowed" (ahem!) Asus's keyboard dock idea - along with the Note's stylus of course.
Seems like a good idea to diversify sizes to me and essentially build the same mainboard running the same software into different chassis sizes with corresponding screen and battery and with/without stylus. Would be pretty easy to do and if done so the same software build works on every device then easy to maintain. Consumers can choose whatever size fits their hand or budget.
I'd have the 6.3". I wouldn't mistake it for anything other than what it is. A ruddy great big computer screen with phone functionality. With my Note I do more non-phone stuff on it that I do making calls. And if I do I really couldn't care less what other people think. I do have a huge head though :-)
