Asus and Gigabyte make very clean, powerful motherboards and GPUs. My biggest problem with MSI and ASRock are the fact they seem to feel a desperate need to adorn everything with "MILIARY CLASS" and metal heat sinks shaped like guns. It's almost childish, and really puts me off their products.
Current specs:
CPU: Intel i5 3570k Overclocked @ 4.6Ghz GPU: MSI Twin Frozr 7850 @ 1000Mhz Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 RAM: 16Gb Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA Z77X-D3H
What do mean like the Gigabyte sniper MB, complete with gun magazine for a heatsink.
As for MSI's Military Class components, a quote from Hexus "end-users can trust on the fact that their mainboard has been built with components that pass the current strict regulations of the United States Department of Defense 810G standard"
The Gigabyte sniper boards are aimed at gamers (more of an FPS theme), and i don't really find guns or the military that childish either. Asus are incompetent when it comes to properly applying thermal compound under their heatsinks.... I've not had this issue with other board manufacturers (yet). Asrock boards look pretty sensible to me and have a good price tag for what you get (they've improved dramatically over the last 7 years or so).
This MSI board is very pretty!

They've dropped the silly "Military Class" stuff for this SKU.
Really? Asus are some of the most cluttered boards I've ever seen (not to mention all the branding they slap on)! Gigabyte have had their fair share of guns and skulls on their boards (although they are nice tidy in general). MSI make very tasteful mobo's I always thought; only the Big Bang had bullets and guns on and they were aping the Gigabyte Sniper. Asrock have always been kind of cheap and tacky, though their modern products are good quality they still cover them in gold.
Back on topic though I've had graphics cards from all kinds of manufacturers, I've seen two failed HIS cards, one failed Gigabyte, a failed Asus and MSI (they had some terrible fans a while back)... I've got a Gainward, Palit and Sapphire that have worked flawlessly for years.
EVGA probably make the nicest looking in my opinion, nothing flashy in their range.
Life is like a hair on a toilet seat. Sooner or later you're bound to get pissed off!
