I'm liking the sound of the Sniper M5, but does this mean I need some green components to go with it?
I'm assuming the op amp will be for analogue connections only in which case it's not for me. Digital output for me these days hopefully the xi-fi chip can do mutli channel over coax

You shouldn't get oxidation on normal connectors either to be honest, not within the lifespan of the product at least
For right or wrong, some audio buffs are more concerned with EMI when you stick signal processing chips inside noisy computers, hence gold plating the chip I guess.
