I'd quite like one - Its a little expensive but would solve the problem of what to do when the wife is watching i'm a celebrity or similar on the TV. I currently just start playing games on my note but the quality of titles is a little poor. They should really stick it in a bundle with a 660 card for £400 and i'd jump at it - Far cheaper than a gaming laptop! Wonder when it'll be available over here as my birthday is coming up very soon...

Re: News - Nvidia (Project) Shield launch date and price announced

lol you fail nvidia just like your GPU prices and GPU re-branding. Only the most diehard Nvidiots will stump up cash for this. Why the hell would I pay £300 for a handheld to play PC games on a pathetically tiny screen when I can play them fine enough on my 23" screen? This product is pointless, just like the Nvidia re-brands coming up.

Umm its £230. I know thats still a lot but not crazy like £300. As I explained in my post above this would be damn useful for me as I rarely get to game on my PC nowadays, as my wife doesn't like to be abandoned for hours at a time - why does this make me an idiot?

Re: News - Nvidia (Project) Shield launch date and price announced

This one isn't for me. It's pretty big and expensive for a mobile console, and I've yet to encounter an Android game that makes me think "great game, pity about lack of a controller". Granted, maybe I haven't looked hard enough or at the right place, but I still find the (3)DS/PSP(Vita) more appealing. Sure the last generation lacks titles and is paying the price with poor sales (I've also refrained from getting one). But there are actually a couple of titles that I may pay the cost of the hardware. Yet I do not have a Google Play title I'd want to spend £230 on a dedicated hardware.

You could just get a normal modern laptop or even tablet/smartphone with a wireless controller while using one of asus's z77-v motherboards and stream it that way. Then you dont have to worry about what gpu you need. Ill admit its not as elegant but it has more uses like full remote desktop.

Seems way overpriced... its display is similar size to most android high end smartphones so why not just install the games on your phone and play them there?! For the very few games that would benefit from a controller you can always use usb or bluetooth game controllers!.

Whats worse is that you can just buy a Nexus 7 (the refreshed version when its released!) and use some reputable game controller and bobs your uncle... got a nice 7" display with controller which can be very portable especially with very cheap commercial stands or make your own on the spot.

Fail to see where this device fits in...maybe at £50.

By the time it hits this side of the Atlantic, I think it will be quite a bit more than £230, as usual... >.>

Seems very overpriced for what you get. For that price you can buy a Wii U. Or, you could buy a PS Vita AND a PS3(Probably used).

But only the PS3 is worth buying out of those and that's getting replaced in a few months.

Rather have a Wii U than this (or a Ps3). All the games I play are on PC anyway apart from Nintendo exclusives...
