Holy cow , I was very surprised to see the temps and noise as controlled as they are given the power draw of that thing during gaming! It's a stupid amount of money, but makes the titan look a bit silly... good job, Palit!

Titan is still the best though. You aren't paying for the value, you're paying for the best card money can buy.

The strapline on Hexus' own review says "The fastest single-GPU card we've tested".

That may be so but bear in mind this is a factory overclocked card. If you push the 780 and the Titan to their overclocking limits, the Titan will pretty much always come out top

You have to stop somewhere and, given that no two cards overclock to the same degree, you can only compare retail cards on guaranteed clocks. If someone releases a factory overclocked Titan, then the Titan will be the best. Until then, it's the Palit card.

And the fact that it overclocks a further 6% with corresponding 6% gains in synthetic and real world (at 2560) is damned impressive. Their binning strategy clearly is finding some nice chips.
There may well be titans that can easily overclock past this, but stock clocked from the vendor, this is putting a big smack down on the titan! At a fraction of the cost (!)

I'm almost sure I read a review on the Titan that said overclocking would net approx 8% improvement - Given the Super Jetstream's slight edge AND an additional 6% on that there really wouldn't be more than a whisker between the two.

Of course, speed binned Titan's that are factory overclocked will skew the figures somewhat. You might be looking at the EVGA Hydro signature series though - not much change from £1100 or, to put it another way, two stock 780s!

A Typical Titan will max boost at 993MHz. I've always found it poor to match cards that are so similar at such different clock speeds. I have a Titan myself, under water for constant boost ability, and it runs 24/7 gaming at 1124MHz, Memory at 6700Mhz. Clock for clock, Titan is still faster. Until a GTX 780 is released that has higher than 1.2v or 1.21v with modded BIOS and the uprated power draw, the cards will clock to similar levels. With the higher core count, the Titan will always, clock for clock be about 8-12% faster.

I'd rather take the money saving over the status of having a Titan, not that I would spend anywhere near £500 on a card

Suck it up, sell your titan for the price of one of these. E-peen preserved.
