I still love Zalman's Flower design after all these years. Takes me back to Socket A and those wacky CNPS3100s
no FM1, FM2
Zalman's website says FM1/2 ARE supported
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
The return of the 'flower' cooler. Let's party like it's 1999! (well, 2001, but close enough)
if it does AM2/3 it does FM1/2, the sockets are completely compatible (coolerwise, at least ).
Interesting that they advertise it as a mini-itx solution, but then show it sitting in an atx motherboard... marketing, doh!
awesome. this means mini-itx builds are more feasible for my customers and myself without worry about the heatsink
I will wait to see a review. Noise figures are nearly always questionablebut 22.7 db would be very good as long as cooling performance also good. There are a number of fanless cases for mini-itx which work well
Definitely interested in this. If it is largely copper as the colour would have me believe, it is potentially a suitable HSF upgrade for tiny mini ITX builds or for cramming full wattage CPUs into Thin mini ITX cases.
I'd like to see a review on this. I'm not expecting it to hold an overclocked 4770K at bay, but I'd like to see it on the i3 and A10 chips.
If it does turn out around €25 (or probably £25, lets be honest) it'll be one of the more affordable low profile solutions - even smaller than the Noctua NH-L9(i/a), and universal fitting rather than needing to buy a specific version. If it gets to stores very soon I might be buying one for my server.
Only concern is the "must be used with a 120mm fan" requirement - what does that even mean? If it's designed for ultra-small chassis there's every chance the case it's going in won't be able to take a 120mm fan. surely an "ensure your case has adequate airflow" warning would make more sense...
Zalman rocks, 6 years on and my CNPS9700NT is still going strong. (except for one flickering LED)
