Nice!
One would think that games (or graphics drivers) could implement Eye-finity optimised settings where the primary monitor uses high quality settings, and the periphery monitors have lower settings that are some how optimised for periphery vision. I guess this would speed things up a bit... or has this already been implemented?
Also, you would have thought the Microsoft would be able to get one screen shot not in the middle of refresh - check out the tree in the top picture on the right!

Also, given current price of 4K monitors how many would pick a 12k setup over a "Illumiroom" setup?

So they could get 3 4k monitors, a few 7970s but couldn't get an extra psu? Planning fail.
I like the 'peripheral vision' idea too, though would it not make sense4 ot use lower res (..and cheaper) monitors for these with the single 4K centre?
I was *very* interested in the proof of concept videos with the projector providing 360 degree periphery to extend a screen (and the 'altered reality' stuff looked awesome!).
Dirt 3.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
That's pretty cool, kind of hard to tell over a 1080p video though
Kind of wish they'd zoomed into the pixels to get a better feel for how detailed it was
Very nice! To be honest I would be happy with just the one 4K monitor. It's reassuring that recent graphics card setups can handle all 3 4k monitors.
Interesting to see a 750w (of dubious origin) PSU was almost able to hang in there on a system with a total tdp of at least 800w (how they worked out they had 50w to spare, I don't know lol).
Testing on Dirt 3? Might as well have used Left 4 Dead....

12k !!!!
750w????????????? and using 3 hd7970's????? what they hell, you need over 1000w psu to run that many cards at once.
the better question is why did they only use AMD cards and not nVidia, as they seem to have the advantage of 4K at the moment.
The 3 monitors did look awesome. I'm surprised it was intel who came up with this though ! they would probably have a hard time running pacman smoothly at 4k on one of there own graphics solutions.
